Description of The Level Knowledge of Adolescent Girls Onpremenstrual Preparation snd Menstrual Cycle in SMPN 006 Jambi City

Abstract

Adolescent girls who are included in the early adolescent category are individuals who are susceptible to menstrual disorders. One of the disorders that often occurs is an abnormal menstrual cycle. An abnormal menstrual cycle can be caused by unfulfilled nutritional needs. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of adolescent girls regarding nutritional readiness in the period before menstruation and the menstrual cycle at SMPN 006 Jambi City. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive analytical design, data collection was carried out by interviewing and distributing questionnaires. Univariate data analysis to see the frequency distribution of the variables studied. The population was 652 adolescents. and determined a sample of 96 female students. The results of the study showed that 67.7% of respondents had inadequate knowledge and 61.5% of respondents had normal menstrual cycles. In this study, it can be concluded that the majority or 65 or 65 out of 96 adolescent girls at SMPN 006 Jambi City have poor knowledge regarding nutritional preparation in the period before menstruation and the majority or 59 out of 96 adolescent girls at SMPN 006 Jambi City have normal menstrual cycles. It is expected that female adolescents at SMPN 006 Kota Jambi will be more interested and learn more about the menstrual cycle, nutritional preparation before further menstruation, iron tablets and anemia.
